Salary: £40,000-£50,000
Remote - UK Only
Are you a Business Analyst with experience supporting Microsoft 365 or modern workplace projects?
Do you enjoy speaking with business users, asking questions and understanding how their systems support day-to-day work?
Can you turn detailed conversations into clear process maps, requirements and documentation?
We are recruiting for a growing technology consultancy delivering Microsoft, cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity services. They are looking for a Business Analyst to support discovery and requirements gathering in preparation for an anticipated major Microsoft technology migration.
Working alongside a Lead Business Analyst, you will help establish how the business uses its existing technology. This will include understanding how teams collaborate, manage documents, share information and use applications to carry out their work.
You will investigate existing processes, identify pain points and workarounds, and document the requirements that need to be considered before migration. The quality of this discovery will help the delivery team understand what the business relies on and where changes could affect day-to-day operations.
This is a business-facing role with regular contact with technical colleagues. You will need practical experience of Microsoft technology projects, confidence asking follow-up questions and the ability to make detailed information clear and usable.
The Lead Business Analyst will provide direction and review your work, while you take ownership of agreed analysis tasks and deliverables.
To be considered, you will need:
Practical experience working as a Business Analyst on technology change or systems implementation projects.
Experience supporting Microsoft 365 or modern workplace projects.
Experience gathering requirements directly from business users.
An understanding of how Microsoft 365 supports communication, collaboration and document management.
Experience mapping business processes and documenting how technology supports them.
The ability to investigate information flows, system interactions and process dependencies.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Clear written documentation and confident verbal communication.
The ability to work effectively with business users and technical colleagues.
An organised approach to managing tasks, following up actions and maintaining records.
The ability to take ownership of agreed deliverables and incorporate feedback.
You do not need experience across every technology listed. However, you should have supported change involving Microsoft services and understand how to investigate their use within a business.
You may currently work within an internal IT or change team, or already support clients through a consultancy or managed service provider. The important thing is that you have practical business analysis experience within Microsoft technology projects and can translate what users tell you into clear, structured requirements.
The consultancy is preparing for an anticipated increase in business analysis work supporting Microsoft technology change.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to detailed discovery and migration preparation, work alongside a Lead Business Analyst and build relationships with technical specialists. Professional development opportunities include training, mentoring and access to industry resources
