Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking a Front Office Business Analyst for an energy trading client in London. You will sit closely with energy traders, brokers and SMEs, leading requirements gatherings and facilitating workshops to deliver business change.

The role covers energy trading processes across Power, Gas, LNG, Renewables and Environmental Products, with exposure to ETRM implementations and onboarding of new products. London-based with three days in the office per week.

Business Analyst | Front Office | Energy Trading | Business Technology Modernisation

I’m working with a high-profile energy trading client looking to hire an experienced Front Office Business Analyst to sit closely with energy traders, brokers and SMEs across the business. The firm connects buyers and sellers across Power, Gas, LNG, Freight, Renewables and Environmental Products, operating across physical, exchange-traded and OTC markets.

Following continued growth, new product launches and the expansion of trading desks, the business has secured a significant programme of work covering new ETRM implementations, onboarding additional products and clients, and expanding into new geographies.

• 6-month rolling contract, with three years of work signed off and funded
• London (3 days per week in the office)

The role will be highly business-facing, bridging the gap between the front office and technology. You’ll lead requirements gathering, facilitate workshops and support UAT, while applying your understanding of energy trading processes to deliver meaningful business change.

The client is particularly interested in candidates with experience across energy market conventions, curves, calendars and pricing inputs, alongside a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, from deal capture and amendments through to pricing, valuation and risk. Familiarity with futures, forwards, swaps, options and spreads would also be highly beneficial.
