Job summary

Pontoon is recruiting a Business Analyst to support a Finance Transformation programme. The role focuses on improving planning, forecasting and management reporting through process discipline, modern planning technologies, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Working within a cross-functional team, you will define future-state processes, customer journeys, and data requirements, while engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery in a hybrid Bristol or Edinburgh setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

They are seeking a Business Analyst to join the team on an initial 6 month contract with the potential to extend. You will be hybrid working being located at one of the above locations 2 days a week with the remainder of time working from home. This position is working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

The Opportunity

My client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a high-profile Finance Transformation Programme. You'll play a key role in improving finance planning, forecasting and management reporting capabilities through process improvement, modern planning technologies and AI-enabled solutions.

Working within a cross-functional team, you'll help define future-state processes, customer journeys, reporting requirements and data capabilities while engaging with senior stakeholders across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

Essential Experience

• Experience delivering finance transformation, business transformation or change programmes.
• Strong understanding of planning, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting processes.

• Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders.
• Ability to lead requirements activities independently.
• Experience working in agile environments with product, engineering and testing teams.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Experience with one or more of:

• Oracle EPM, FCCS, EPBCS
• IBM Planning Analytics
• Power BI
• Looker / GCP Looker
• Other Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) platforms
• Financial planning and forecasting solutions

Qualifications

One of the following is desirable:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Finance-related degree
• Relevant finance planning, reporting or management accounting experience
