Job summary

QH4 Consulting in London is hiring a Data Business Analyst for a global investment management firm, in a hybrid role with 50% in-office presence. You will join a growing data team and sit between business, data owners and engineering to ensure data requirements are understood, documented and delivered.

This position supports embedding a new governance framework and a major front-to-back platform transformation, focusing on gathering requirements, mapping data flows, and ensuring data quality

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Business Analyst, ideally within asset management or financial services.
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and data analysis skills.
• Good understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with data platforms in the cloud; Snowflake and dbt would be a plus.

I'm working with a global investment management firm who are looking for a Data Business Analyst to join a growing data team.

The business is investing heavily in data, with a new data governance framework being embedded and a major front-to-back platform transformation underway. This role will sit between the business, data owners and engineering teams, making sure data requirements are properly understood, documented and delivered.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with business stakeholders and data owners to gather and document data requirements
• Mapping data flows, processes and lineage across the organisation
• Supporting data owners with data domains and data quality as the governance framework is embedded
• Translating business requirements into clear specifications for engineering teams
• Supporting analysis for the front-to-back platform transformation

Experience Required

• Experience as a Data Business Analyst, ideally within asset management or financial services

• Familiarity with modern cloud data platforms; Snowflake and dbt would be a plus
• Comfortable working across both business and technology teams
