Job description

As of 19.05.2025 we will be on-site Monday to Thursday; no work on Fridays - with full salary maintained.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to work in our data team.

The role will have two focus areas:

  • Firstly, this role will be the BA for our regulatory reporting. This will require the ability to work with the compliance team to turn regulatory reporting requirements into technical specifications for the data engineers to implement.
  • Secondly, the BA will work with the senior BA (Data) to deliver data product ownership across the data team. This will include business analysis, requirement gathering, capacity planning, prioritisation, and backlog management.

LiveScore Group is home to LiveScore, LiveScore Bet, and Virgin Bet, three of the most exciting brands in the sports and gaming industries today. We are passionate and excited about what we do in the Sports Media, Gaming, and Betting sector and are proud of the high ratings we have achieved. We live our values, aiming to enhance and increase the enjoyment of sport through innovative products and immersive experiences. Trust is important in how we work, ensuring we are a collaborative unit who holds each other accountable. Relentlessly ambitious in everything we do, we embrace change and understand that failure is part of success.

We use our platform for positive social change and work to build a company our employees are proud to work for. We have a long-term commitment to diversity and inclusion. Our I.D.E.A (Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, Awareness) Forum is critical to our business and is embedded in our organisational structure to support a sense of belonging for everyone and to create a culture that allows all employees to thrive.

We know a job description can often deter an applicant who does not believe they match 100% of our requirements. If you are interested in this position and have relevant experience, then we would still love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain a comprehensive set of requirements for regulatory reporting.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments in the markets that we operate in and plan to enter into in future.
  • Create high-quality epics with well-articulated user stories and clear user acceptance testing criteria, in line with the software development lifecycle, ensuring delivery teams are aligned on overall intent and requirements.
  • Agree acceptable service levels and performance indicators with stakeholders for the reporting systems and ensure these are delivered and monitored by the delivery and operational teams.
  • Ensure adequate documentation of the reporting systems is developed and maintained.
  • Represent the delivery teams on the various compliance forums within the business.
  • Conduct regular capacity planning exercises across the compliance data team.
  • Contribute to the capacity planning process by producing a clear functional and non-functional roadmap and engaging with the technical leadership on establishing technical solutions and sizings of work so that expectations on timelines may be managed.
  • Define the testing criteria for the systems and validate that adequate testing is performed by the delivery teams.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • You can demonstrate three or more years of working in BA positions, ideally within a regulated industry in a domain related to regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, or preventing customer harm. Experience of working within the gambling industry and knowledge of safer gambling and the broader regulatory landscape affecting the industry would be advantageous.
  • You are excellent at JIRA and able to use the full range of the tool's functionality. Ideally, you would be comfortable coaching others in the use of JIRA.
  • You can demonstrate proven experience and understanding of the full product development lifecycle and agile software development methodologies.
  • You have strong collaboration and communication skills, specifically when it comes to working with technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders, alongside fellow product team members.
  • You are proficient in data analysis and comfortable using analytics tools to track performance, draw associated insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • You have experience working across multiple brands and differing geographical regions.
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing priorities, make decisions, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are a structured, self-driven, and logical thinker and communicator who brings clarity and organisation to complex spaces.
  • An interest in sport or betting would be advantageous.

  • Company Performance Bonus
