Business Analyst – Data Change Delivery

Location: London / Hybrid Working

A leading insurance organisation is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Data Change Delivery team. This is a business-facing role working on high-priority, data-driven transformation programmes – focused on delivering real-world outcomes, not just system changes.

You’ll be partnering with business leaders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Operations to define problems, capture requirements, and shape data solutions that directly impact decision-making and performance.

Key Point:

• Strong insurance industry experience is essential.
• If you haven’t worked within the insurance market (particularly London Market, carriers, syndicates, or brokers), this role isn’t for you.

The Role:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current-state business processes, pain points, and data challenges.
• Define, document, and validate business requirements across data-focused change initiatives.
• Analyse and interpret data requirements to inform business decisions and support transformation objectives.
• Work with Product Owners, Programme Managers, and delivery teams to translate business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and business readiness activities.
• Act as a bridge between the business and delivery teams, ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the insurance sector – ideally with a mix of business and data change projects.
• Strong track record in supporting business-led data transformation, such as data quality improvement, reporting optimisation, and data governance initiatives.
• Able to work across multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Experience delivering full project lifecycle – from initial scoping and discovery through to implementation and post-deployment support.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills – able to challenge, influence, and shape thinking at all levels.
