Job summary

eCapital Commercial Finance UK seeks an experienced Business Analyst to join its Reading head office. You will gather requirements, map processes, and drive improvements across projects, shaping customer and colleague experiences.

You will work with stakeholders to analyse challenges, translate objectives into measurable solutions, and support testing and future-state design. A 3–5 year BA background in Financial Services is preferred, with Lean Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt advantageous.

Location: Reading, Manchester or Birmingham UK

Hybrid Working: 3 days onsite / 2 day remote

The Role

As a Business Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and support the successful delivery of strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
• Translating business objectives into clear, measurable solutions
• Leading process mapping, gap analysis and root-cause investigations
• Identifying opportunities to improve customer journeys, operational efficiency and service performance
• Assessing the impact, risks and benefits of proposed changes
• Supporting future-state process design and business transformation activities
• Working with stakeholders to build consensus and ensure successful project outcomes
• Defining and supporting testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements
• Monitoring performance data and identifying ongoing improvement opportunities

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 3-5 years' previous experience operating in a Business Analyst role
• Experience working within Financial Services or another process-driven environment
• Strong requirements gathering, process mapping and business improvement experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience supporting change, transformation or continuous improvement initiatives
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Lean Six Sigma qualification (Yellow or Green Belt)
• Experience working within Invoice Finance or Commercial Finance
