Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our product development team. In this role, you will be the vital link between our business stakeholders and our engineering teams, working on cutting-edge projects built on a microservices and headless architecture. You will be responsible for deconstructing complex business problems, defining clear requirements, and ensuring our development teams have perfectly crafted user stories to build exceptional products.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):

• Translate Vision into Action:Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to understand high-level business goals and translate them into detailed requirements and functional specifications.
• Master the Backlog:Own and manage the product backlog for one or more Agile teams. You will be the expert in creating, refining, prioritizing, and maintaining a healthy backlog of user stories.
• Champion Story Best Practices:Author high-quality user stories with clear, concise language and comprehensive, unambiguous acceptance criteria (Gherkin/BDD format is a huge plus!).
• Navigate Modern Architectures:Analyze and model business processes within a headless, API-first ecosystem. You'll work closely with architects to define requirements for new microservices and modifications to existing ones.
• Drive Agile Ceremonies:Actively participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the team is aligned and unblocked.
• Bridge the Gap:Serve as the primary liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring there is a shared understanding of the product vision and development progress.
• Ensure Quality:Work hand-in-hand with QA engineers to validate that developed features meet the acceptance criteria and business objectives.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications):

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or Product Owner in a software development environment.
• Demonstrable experience working on projects involving microservices architecture and/or headless platforms.
• Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and principles.
• Exceptional skills in writing user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria. You know what makes a story "ready" for development.
• Strong understanding of APIs and the ability to articulate requirements for API endpoints.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Agile project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Bonus Points if You Have:

• Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and writing test scenarios in Gherkin (Given/When/Then).
• Knowledge of API documentation tools like Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification.
• Experience in the SaaS, E-commerce, Finance/Retail/Healthcare or related sector(s).
