We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) within the Digital Services team of a healthcare organisation. In this key role, you will provide expert analysis, insights, and recommendations to support the successful delivery of digital transformation projects. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring that business needs are understood, processes are optimised, and digital solutions align with the strategic goals of the healthcare institution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical skills and experience working in a PMO environment supporting digital services.
This is a hybrid role and will involve nationwide travel to Cygnet and/or third-party locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders from clinical, administrative, and IT departments to gather detailed business requirements for digital projects.
- Requirements Documentation: Translate business needs into clear, concise, and comprehensive business requirements, process flows, and system specifications.
- Gap Analysis: Perform gap analyses to identify discrepancies between current processes and desired digital solutions, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Process Mapping & Optimisation: Create and analyse process maps, identifying areas for efficiency improvements and optimisation of healthcare workflows.
Project Support within PMO:- Project Scoping: Work alongside Project Managers within the PMO to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with digital strategy.
- Feasibility Analysis: Conduct detailed feasibility studies and business case development to assess the impact and value of proposed digital projects on healthcare and business operations.
- Risk & Issue Analysis: Identify and assess potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, working with the PMO team to develop mitigation strategies.
Digital Transformation Initiatives:- Healthcare Systems Knowledge: Leverage knowledge of healthcare-specific systems (e.g., EPR, patient portals, etc.) to ensure digital projects align with clinical and operational needs.
- Solution Evaluation: Collaborate with digital services and IT teams to evaluate potential solutions, contributing to vendor selection and solution design based on business requirements.
- Change Management Support: Assist in developing change management strategies and communication plans to ensure successful adoption of new digital solutions by end users.
Data Analysis & Reporting:- Data-Driven Insights: Analyse and interpret data from systems to support project decisions, using insights to drive process improvements and inform leadership on project progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for continuous improvement within the PMO processes and project delivery frameworks based on analysis and lessons learned.
Healthcare Compliance & Standards:- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects comply with healthcare regulations (e.g. GDPR) and align with the organisation's data security and privacy policies.
- Clinical Safety: Work closely with clinical teams to ensure that digital solutions support service user safety, data integrity, and improved outcomes.
Key Requirements:Experience:- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably working in a PMO or digital services team.
- Proven experience in healthcare or a similarly regulated environment, with knowledge of healthcare & business systems, workflows, and compliance requirements.
- Strong track record in supporting the delivery of digital transformation projects, particularly within healthcare or digital services team desirable
Education:- Relevant certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) are advantageous.
Skills:- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical, technical, and business teams.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in gathering and analysing complex data to inform decision-making.
- Expertise in business process modelling, requirements gathering, and gap analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems (e.g., EPR systems, patient management systems - experience/exposure to Workday desirable).
- Advanced skills in tools such as MS Visio, Excel, and other process mapping or project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall project environments.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in healthcare IT, digital health, or supporting digital transformation projects.
- Understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g. NHS standards) and data privacy regulations.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in healthcare, such as AI-driven diagnostics, telemedicine, and mobile health platforms.
