Stagecoach Midlands in Northampton seeks a Bus Training School Manager to lead and develop our driver training operation.

You will recruit and coach instructors, implement training programmes, ensure DVSA Driver CPC compliance, monitor performance, and manage budgets to deliver high safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a bus/coach or driver training environment.
• Full UK Category D PCV driving licence.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and coaching abilities.
• Knowledge of Driver CPC, DVSA regulations and transport compliance requirements.
• Experience managing training programmes, performance standards and audits.

Responsabilités

• Manage day-to-day operation of the bus driver training school.
• Develop and implement training programmes for new and existing drivers.
• Ensure training activities comply with DVSA, Driver CPC and company requirements.
• Monitor trainee progress and maintain accurate training records.
• Recruit, coach and develop training instructors to high standards.
• Manage training budgets, resources and vehicle allocation.
• Conduct quality assurance audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with operations to align training with business needs.
• Promote safety, customer service and professional driving standards.
• Provide management reports on training performance.
• Support workforce development and succession planning.
