Job summary

Rocket Staffing Group Ltd seeks a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician for night shifts at Heathrow depot. You will maintain and repair a modern fleet of buses/coaches, working 18:00–06:00 with a 4 on 4 off pattern.

Qualifications include HGV experience, City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3, and a UK driving license with PCV preferred. IRTEC certification is advantageous. Competitive salary and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV mechanic expected.
• PCV entitlement preferred. A valid UK driving license required.
• IRTEC certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on buses and coaches.
• Diagnose faults and repair components as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing.
• Attend roadside breakdowns and carry out repairs as required.

Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Bus Engineer or HGV technician to join our Engineering Team at our Heathrow depot. You will be a key player within the team to maintain and repair a modern / varied fleet of Buses and Coaches. This is a night shift, 18:00 - 06:00, 4 on 4 off.

Requirements

• A positive, can-do attitude
• Previous experience as an HGV Mechanic
• Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3)
• Experience working on buses, coaches, or HGVs
• A valid UK driving license, preferably with a PCV entitlement
• IRTEC

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance on our fleet of buses
• Diagnose faults and repair components as required
• Prepare vehicles for annual MOT testing
• Attend to roadside breakdowns and carry out necessary repairs
