Job summary

Go-Ahead London is seeking an experienced Service Delivery Manager to oversee daily operations of our bus garages, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable services while supporting a positive work environment for staff. You will line manage Drivers, SGS, Yard Teams and Mentors, contribute to garage strategy and drive continuous improvement across the site.

The role demands strong leadership, data-driven decision making and a focus on safety, customer service and operational excellence in a 24/7

Qualifications

• Strong background in operational management within fast-paced environments.
• Able to engage, motivate and develop teams while upholding high standards.
• Comfortable working with data and performance information to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of a busy bus garage and be the first contact for drivers and supervisory staff.
• Foster a positive team culture through visible leadership and engagement activities.
• Conduct performance management activities including reviews and disciplinary investigations.
• Develop and deliver local operational strategies with the garage management team.
• Oversee fleet presentation, availability, safety, cleanliness and standards.
• Analyse performance trends and implement improvement actions.
• Coordinate with Operational Control Centre, Engineering and support functions.
• Monitor health, safety and wellbeing across the garage.
• Manage driver resources and apprenticeship programmes.
• Support delivery of business objectives through strong leadership and collaboration.
