Job summary

Stagecoach Fenstanton is seeking an experienced bus vehicle engineer to maintain and repair a modern fleet across diesel, hybrid and electric models. You will service all systems, diagnose faults with modern tools, and support apprentice development in a safety-first depot environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in PSV/HGV Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Strong hands-on experience with commercial vehicles.
• Confident using diagnostic equipment and fault-finding tools.
• Basic electrical and electronic diagnostic knowledge.
• Safety-first mindset and attention to detail.
• Team-focused approach; able to work with apprentices.
• Experience on buses/passenger vehicles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing our fleet to DVSA and Stagecoach safety standards.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic technology.
• Carrying out servicing, inspections, preventative maintenance and roadside repairs.
• Completing major mechanical work, including engine overhauls and component replacements.
• Sharing your knowledge with apprentices and supporting the development of future engineers.
• Working as part of a close-knit depot team where safety and teamwork come first.
