Job summary

First Bus Glasgow Caledonia Depot is seeking an Automotive Electrician with NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or City & Guilds equivalent) to maintain electrical systems on HGV/PSV vehicles. Two shifts available—days 6am-2pm (£21.54/hr) and nights 8pm-6am (£24.07/hr) with a 37-hour minimum weekly.

You'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and part replacements, perform tests and inspections, and ensure all documentation meets regulations and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair with a focus on electrics.
• Experience working on HGV or PSV would be beneficial.
• A valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs on vehicles.
• Replace parts and perform electrical testing and installations as required.
• Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance and ensure documentation compliance.
