Job summary

Arriva Yorkshire Limited is hiring for a PCV driver role in West Yorkshire. The position offers hourly pay with probationary progression and a rotating shift pattern starting early morning, midday, and evenings.

Minimum 36 hours per week with overtime opportunities, and a focus on safety and customer service. During probation, pay is £14.00 per hour, increasing to £16.00 per hour after successful completion of probation.

Qualifications

• PCV Licence must be held.
• Over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Drug and alcohol test required at driving assessment.
• Weekend work may be required depending on rota.

Responsibilities

• Drive PCV buses according to rota and schedule.
• Adhere to safety and company policies at all times.
• Attend driving assessments and comply with testing requirements.
• Work weekends as needed based on rota.

Job description

Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour

£14.00 per hour for the first 6 months of probation (*Must have 1 year of PCV experience in the last 5 years)

£16.00 after passing your probation (*Must have 1 years PCV experience to move to a higher rate)

Hours of work and role:

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift pattern up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.

• Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons start from 12:00 and Evenings from 18:00 on a rotational basis.

• We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.

• Minimum of 36 working hours per week

• Overtime available.

Requirements:

• PCV Licence

• You will need to be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.

• No more than 6 points on your licence.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• You will be required to do a drug and alcohol test when you come for a driving assessment. (If you are on any ongoing medication this is fine if we have your doctor’s approval that you are fit to drive our lovely buses)

• Will be required to work weekends depending on your rota; however, you will know in advance which ones you will be working.
