Arriva is hiring at our Heckmondwike depot to join our team as a bus driver. You will help passengers get to work, shops and school, while delivering friendly and reliable service across a 5-in-7 rotating shift pattern.

Starting pay is £14.00 per hour for the first 6 months of probation, moving to £16.00 after probation with the required PCV experience. Overtime and progression opportunities are available, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer care.

Formación

• Must have PCV licence or apply to trainee role on Indeed.
• Over 18 years old with at least 6 months driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Will be required to pass drug and alcohol tests at driving assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Drive routes safely to transport commuters and students.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
• Follow rotating shift schedules and ensure on-time departures.
• Complete required checks and adhere to Arriva policies and procedures.

Whether it is getting commuters to work, helping customers with popping to the shops or getting children to school.We are proud of our customer service and how we support our community, you will be connecting our customers to what matters to them, get to know familiar faces, build relationships and even be the highlight of someone’s day.Pay Rate: £14.00 - £16.00 per hour£14.00 per hour for the first 6 months of probation (*Must have 1 year of PCV experience in the last 5 years)£16.00 after passing your probation (*Must have 1 years PCV experience to move to a higher rate)Pay rates reviewed via frequent pay negotiations.Hours of work and role:5 out of 7 rotating shift pattern up to 6-8 weeks in advance so you can plan around shifts.Mornings starting from 04:00, Afternoons start from 12:00 and Evenings from 18:00 on a rotational basis.We cannot offer fixed early, afternoon or evenings separately.Minimum of 36 working hours per weekOvertime available.Requirements:PCV Licence (If you do not have this, please apply to our trainee bus driver role on Indeed.You will need to be over 18 with at least 6 months driving experience.No more than 6 points on your licence.Excellent customer service skills.You will be required to do a drug and alcohol test when you come for a driving assessment.
