Job Description

Our PCV Drivers provide a professional driving service supporting our clients and service users on our Contract Services. Candidates should possess strong customer service skills, be proficient with mobile apps, and communicate effectively to enhance the customer experience. Drivers should understand disability issues and deliver services with patience and a calm demeanor. Knowledge of GB Domestic and EU Drivers Hours regulations and familiarity with London are essential. This role involves joining our Commercial team to operate shuttle services for high-profile clients. Drivers must deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism, vehicle presentation, and teamwork at all times. Overtime opportunities may be available within the commercial department, including Private Hire, other Contract services, or Rail Replacement. The main service operates primarily Monday to Friday on a split shift basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the vehicle safely, adhering to local road restrictions and speed limits. Report any fines or tickets to the office promptly.
• Perform mandatory vehicle checks each time the vehicle is used, ensuring it is roadworthy. Report any defects to the office.
• Ensure the vehicle has adequate fuel or charge for the journey, refuelling or recharging as necessary.
• Clean the vehicle inside and out regularly, at least weekly.
• Remove and replace seating as required.
• Park the vehicle correctly in the depot, preferably in pre-allocated bays.
• Communicate with passengers and clients in a patient and informative manner.
• Assist the depot team with their duties as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to deliver service with patience and a calm attitude.
• Hold a full, unrestricted D driving license (automatic restrictions acceptable) with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Hold a valid CPC qualification card, with up-to-date mandatory training.
• Minimum of two years’ experience driving a bus or coach.
• Willing to apply for a DVLA Digital Tachograph driver’s card if not already held.
• Current and valid D4 medical examination report.
