Bus Driver (Trainee and Qualified)

Location: Wigan

Salary: £12.41 per hour Pre-Test, £12.41 - £14.86 per hour Passed Test, £15.51 - £17.58 per hour after 1yr & licence holder

Our client was created on 2nd June 2019, when The Go-Ahead Group took over operations at the historic Queens Road bus depot in Manchester. Since then, the company has worked to embed itself within the communities it serves, running an extensive network of routes across Greater Manchester and Salford, including the busy 135 route. The assessment centre and training will be held at the Queens Road depot in Manchester.

We are assembling an elite team of bus drivers to make a meaningful impact in Greater Manchester. As a key connector of people and places, you'll be an essential part of the community, making a difference with your driving skills.

Responsibilities

• Navigate buses safely through Greater Manchester, ensuring passenger safety and comfort.
• Provide excellent customer service, creating a friendly environment onboard.
• Act as a community ambassador, fostering positive relationships.
• Perform precise maneuvers and handle challenging routes confidently.
• Work collaboratively with fellow drivers and support staff.
• Maintain professionalism, discipline, and camaraderie, embodying the spirit of an elite driver.

Requirements

• Full UK driving license with no more than 3 points and right to work in the UK.
• Experience as a bus driver is preferred but not essential.
• Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to undergo training and obtain a PCV license via the Driver Academy.
• Commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork.
