Job summary

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Senior Physiotherapist (Team Lead) for Burns and Plastics. The role involves autonomous specialist assessment and treatment of burns and plastics patients across wards, theatres, and clinics within a regional Burns Centre and Major Trauma Centre.

You will lead the Burns & Plastics therapy team, drive service development, supervise staff, and engage in research and quality improvement to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant post registration experience in Burns and Plastics.
• Experience in staff management, supervision and performance development.
• Experience in education and clinical training of others.
• Involvement in clinical/service evaluation and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist, advanced assessment and treatment of burns and plastics patients autonomously.
• Lead and participate in MDT service delivery and research activities.
• Support staff development, teaching of staff and students, and preceptorship.
• Contribute to quality improvement projects and outcome presentations.
