Job summary

Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust’s Burn Centre at Pinderfields is seeking a full-time Nursing Associate (Band 4) to support the busy Burn Ambulatory Care Service. You will work with a Registered Nurse to perform wound assessments, dressings and pre-theatre preparation, with possible rotations to other areas as needed.

The role focuses on patient-centred care, MDT collaboration, safeguarding, and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

Foundation Degree Nursing Associate qualification is required.
NMC registration as Nursing Associate is required.
End point assessment completed if NA apprenticeship was undertaken.
GCSE English and Maths at grade A-C or Level 2 in English and Maths.
If English is a second language, IELTS 7.0 is required.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care in the Burns Ambulatory Care Service under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Perform burn wound assessments and dressing changes per care plans and guidelines.
Provide patient-centred care promoting healing, comfort and wellbeing.
Rotate to other areas of the Burn Centre as needed to support the MDT.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists.
Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately following Trust policies.
Educate patients and families on wound care, scar management and rehabilitation.
