Job summary

AECOM is seeking an Assistant Subsurface Utility Mapping Surveyor to join our buried utilities team in Nottingham. You will support experienced surveyors on PAS128-compliant surveys and participate in field operations across the UK with a balance of office work.

You will train toward taking on lead responsibilities, developing skills in data interpretation, CAD, and reporting while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on rail, highways, and other sectors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated safety awareness and ability to work across UK sites.
• NVQ in Utility detection or equivalent qualification required.
• Proficient in Word/Excel and CAD for reporting and data handling.

Responsibilities

• Support experienced utility surveyors in buried utility and avoidance surveys to PAS128 standards.
• Undergo training and build experience with the team across multiple regions.
• Assist with office tasks, data interpretation, CAD outputs and written reports.
