You will drive a lorry from our exceptional fleet of Volvo vehicles, all less than 4 years old. They’re a joy to drive, equipped with high specifications including fridges, leather seats, and many optional extras for your comfort.
Most of our sites operate from Monday to Friday, with 45-hour workweeks and 9-hour shifts starting typically at 7 or 8 am. Our well-organized shift schedules often inform you in advance of your driving locations, reducing daily stress.

We trust our drivers to plan their routes without micromanagement. Typically, a shift involves 4 to 6 stops, allowing ample time to enjoy the open road while returning home after each 9-hour shift.
Your duties include ensuring timely delivery of cages, pallets, freight, stillages, and Yorks to and from customers. Loading and unloading responsibilities vary by site; some sites handle it for you, others require you to do it yourself. Tasks may include scanning consignments and driving pallet trucks.
You are responsible for daily vehicle and trailer inspections, completing defect reports as needed.
Maintaining a 'right first time' approach for internal and external customers, you will communicate effectively to keep customers satisfied, escalating unresolved queries to your Site Manager promptly.
