Job summary

A leading company in surveying and maintenance is seeking a Surveyor to ensure buildings and properties remain operational and safe. The role involves carrying out inspections, condition surveys, and managing minor and major building works. Ideal candidates will possess strong project management skills and construction experience, as well as the ability to give invaluable advice to clients regarding property conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in minor and major building works.
• Expertise in planned preventative maintenance.
• Ability to provide advice on Damp, Mould, and Condensation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and condition surveys with detailed reporting.
• Deliver advice to tenants regarding property issues.
• Manage various construction and maintenance projects.

Construction and maintenance experience

Knowledge of ISO 55000

Project management (Prince2 or similar)

Job description

Provide a comprehensive surveying, maintenance, and monitoring service to the level expected of a Surveyor, ensuring that land, buildings, and properties remain safe and operational.

Carry out inspections and condition surveys and prepare reports, including defect diagnosis with priorities, recommendations, and costings, breaches of legislation, and inadequate fire precaution measures.

Candidate to be confident in delivering advice to tenants, particularly around Damp, Mould, and Condensation.

Requirements include:

1. Experience of construction and maintenance
2. Knowledge and application of recent standards for asset management, e.g., ISO 55000 and BS 8544
3. Proven application of effective project and programme management (Prince2 or similar)
4. Proven delivery of minor and major building works on various projects including:

• New Build
• Routine repairs
• Conversions
• Planned preventative maintenance
• Adaptations
• Refurbishments
• Improvements
• Alterations
• Demolitions
• Decoration
