Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking a Building Surveyor to inspect domestic properties in North London, including occupied and void properties, and to assess repairs, damp & mould surveys, and costed remedial actions.

You will produce work specifications, advise on projects, and liaise with residents and contractors while ensuring quality, value for money, and customer satisfaction. A strong housing/maintenance background is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of construction and building methods gained through proven experience, ideally for a housing provider or local authority.
• Ability to produce accurate reports, work orders and specifications using NHF SORs and other tools
• Budget management experience
• HND / HNC or other relevant qualification with extensive work-based experience
• Professional qualification such as MRICS or MCIOB would be highly desirable
• Full clean UK driving license with access to a vehicle for business use

Responsibilities

• Carrying out internal and external inspections to domestic properties, produce work specifications and provide costs and recommendations for appropriate remedial actions.
• Advising the technical team and managing complex projects.

North London

Salary up to £55,000 per annum Essential Car Users Allowance

Our client is one of the country’s largest housing associations, building and maintaining high quality homes for customers in London and the South of England. They are currently looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to carry out detailed property inspections on occupied and void properties across a patch in North London, including routine and complex repairs issues and Damp & Mould surveys.
