HD Surveyors Ltd. in Bromley is seeking a Building Surveyor to join a hybrid team delivering Building Surveying instructions, contract administration, and public sector housing project delivery. The role emphasizes technical reporting, defects analysis, and close client engagement.

You will liaise with contractors and authorities, manage project delivery across refurbishment and maintenance, and receive APC support and professional membership fees assistance as part of a structured career path.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying or related property discipline.
• MRICS qualification preferred, APC candidates considered.
• Consultancy Building Surveying experience.
• Contract administration experience across refurbishment or maintenance instructions.
• Technical reporting and defect diagnosis capability.
• Exposure to housing, public sector or related property portfolios advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Building Surveying instructions from appointment through to completion.
• Act as contract administrator across refurbishment and maintenance programmes.
• Manage public sector housing project instructions and associated technical delivery.
• Undertake building pathology investigations, defect diagnosis and technical assessments.
• Complete structural surveys, condition surveys and acquisition inspections.
• Prepare technical specifications, schedules of work and formal reporting documentation.
• Coordinate planning, statutory approvals and compliance requirements.
• Advise clients on technical risk, procurement and project delivery matters.
• Liaise directly with contractors, consultants, local authorities and client stakeholders.
• Support multidisciplinary project delivery alongside Project Management, Fire Safety and related technical teams.
• Manage programme deadlines, consultant coordination and instruction priorities.
• Provide commercially aware technical advice throughout project stages.
