Job summary

Currie & Brown, a leading physical asset management and construction consultancy, seeks a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its expanding team and work on diverse public and private sector projects. You will deliver building surveying, project management and contract administration services from inception to completion.

The role requires a degree in Building Surveying, MRICS or near-chartership, and experience in professional surveying, contract admin and multi-project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Building Surveying or related discipline
• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership
• Experience delivering professional building surveying services
• Knowledge of contract administration and project delivery
• Strong technical reporting and communication skills
• Experience managing client relationships and multiple projects
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, collaborative approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver building surveying projects and professional instructions from inception to completion
• Undertake building surveys, condition surveys, defect diagnosis and technical inspections
• Prepare specifications, schedules of work and technical reports
• Deliver contract administration, project management and dilapidations services
• Carry out site inspections and clerk of works duties
• Manage project budgets, programmes and stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Produce high-quality deliverables on time and to the highest professional standards
