Featherstone Primary School in Birmingham is seeking a Building Services Supervisor to join our busy Site Team. This hands-on role would suit someone with DIY and maintenance skills who enjoys a practical working environment.
Under the Site Manager, you will help keep our school buildings, grounds and facilities safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors, carrying out security duties, grounds maintenance, basic repairs, and porterage as needed, with a strong safety culture.
We are seeking a reliable and practical Building Services Supervisor to join our busy Site Team. This role would suit someone with experience as a handyman, caretaker, premises assistant, or an individual with DIY and maintenance skills who enjoys a hands-on working environment.
Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our school buildings, grounds, and facilities remain safe, secure, clean, and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Has a practical, hands-on approach and is happy to undertake a range of physical duties.
Possesses good DIY and maintenance skills, along with a proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining our school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
Enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in a busy school environment alongside pupils, staff, visitors, and contractors.
Demonstrates a flexible approach to work and a positive, solution-focused "can-do" attitude.
Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to the wider school community.
Is able to work independently, using initiative to identify and resolve issues when required.
Is willing to undertake relevant training and professional development to support the role.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
