Job summary

James Gray Recruitment is seeking a Structural Technician to join a forward‑thinking civil and structural engineering team in Glasgow. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality building structures designs and detailing, in line with UK standards and regulations.

You will use AutoCAD, Revit and Tekla to create drawings, models and calculations, collaborate with engineers and architects, and support project documentation throughout the design process. Flexible, inclusive work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil/structural engineering design for building structures.
• Strong knowledge of UK engineering design standards and codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural designs and detailing for building structures.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project stakeholders.
• Produce drawings, models and design calculations using industry tools.
• Review technical designs to ensure accuracy and practicality.
• Support project documentation and quality guidelines.
• Conduct site visits to align designs with on-site conditions.
