Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to apply engineering knowledge across a range of building structures projects, from concept through detailed design, with BIM and digital engineering emphasis.

You will work within multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients on live projects, and develop innovative, sustainable solutions while mentoring junior staff and ensuring QA and compliance with Eurocodes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate member of IStructE or ICE.
• Working towards Chartered status.
• Experience designing with Eurocodes.
• Familiarity with Robot or Revit.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Graduate Member of a relevant professional body (IStructE or ICE).
• Working towards, and be close to achieving Chartered status.
• Experience designing with traditional materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) to Eurocodes.
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g. Robot, Revit – desirable).
• Willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies.
• Interest in digital engineering, automation, and parametric design.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Flexible attitude to work type and level of responsibility.
• Curious mindset and enthusiasm for collaboration and idea-sharing.
• Willingness to travel and work across different offices when required.
