Job description

Found is the exclusive in-house operator of market leading UK developer FEC… so you just know it’s gotta’ be good right?

And we are on a mission… to be the no.1, experience led, brand-centric 360 lifestyle operator in the UK. Not just for a ‘time in life’, but for a lifetime. If you aren’t up for that, no problem, but now is the time to stop reading.

Still with us? Great. Let’s get into it.

The Role:

We are looking for someone who embodies our brand values, wants to get stuck in, and help make the magic happen.

We are searching for an experienced Building Services Operative to join our growing team. If you love being hands on and keeping things looking top-notch, this role is for you.

So what’s the gig?

The remit of the Building Services Operative will include the following, but as a business we are about mucking in, pushing forward and making great things happen, although this list of responsibilities should give you a great idea of the opportunity.

  • Get hands-on with tasks using both hand and power tools, whether it’s cleaning, painting, or replacing light bulbs, you’ll help keep the building looking its best.
  • Take care of minor repairs across the property, from fixing doors to furniture, you will take a proactive approach to keeping things in top shape.
  • You’ll have a sharp eye for detail, reporting any health and safety concerns like icy pathways, loose balcony furniture, or fire risks. If you see it, you sort it.
  • It’s not always glamorous, be ready to manage waste bins, jet-wash common areas, clear blockages in bin chutes, and keep the bin store clean and tidy.
  • Conduct regular building inspections including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually checks, as directed by the Resident Experience Manager.
  • Support health and safety standards by carrying out inspections and producing clear, detailed reports.
  • Work closely with residents, visitors, contractors, and local authorities to help the building run smoothly day to day.
  • Take part in team briefings and toolbox talks to stay informed, up-to-date, and safe.
  • You’ll need to be organised and tech-savvy to manage our digital reporting systems but don’t worry, full training and support will be provided.
  • Responsibility is key: whether it’s wearing PPE, following risk assessments, or sticking to Founds policies and procedures, your focus will be on keeping yourself, your team, and our residents safe.
Personal Specifications:

We need someone who has passion and experience in delivering exceptional customer service for a range of customers above all else, ideally within the residential sector.

Having the experience is important - but being the right fit is crucial, bring your personality, but hold the ego, these are the traits we wanna’ see in you.

  • You communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Self-motivated with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Tech-savvy with tablets and MS Office, and you’re a report-writing whiz.
  • Physically able to move loads (you’ll have specialist equipment to help)
  • Well versed in Health and Safety.
  • Great with customers
  • You’re someone who shows up on time and sticks to the schedule. While some flexibility is needed, including occasional weekend shifts, we believe in fairness and work-life balance. You'll always receive your rota well in advance so you can plan ahead.

As much as we want you to love working with us, we don’t expect you to do it for nothing, here is what’s in it for you.

  • 25 days annual leave
  • Pension Scheme
  • Family friendly policies
  • Gym membership discounts, cycle2work, health cash plans and more
