Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Building Services Engineer - Mechanical (plumbing bias) in Central London. You will maintain M&E systems, monitor the BMS, execute planned maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to keep offices safe and comfortable.

A hands-on role requiring collaboration with subcontractors and clients. Ideal candidates will have City & Guilds/NVQ in mechanical, strong HVAC/plumbing knowledge, and experience with pumps, valves, and chillers.

Qualifications

• Formal training in mechanical systems (HVAC/plumbing).
• Experience with M&E maintenance and BMS monitoring.
• Familiarity with permits to work and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the BMS to maintain indoor conditions.
• Lead investigations into environmental conditions and faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on M&E plant.
• Diagnose faults in chillers, boilers, pumps and air handling units.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and maintain records.
