Job summary

ITV is seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer to provide day-to-day maintenance and repair across ITV facilities. You will maintain plant and fixed assets, supervise subcontractors, and ensure health and safety compliance while following a Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule.

The role requires hands-on experience with AHUs, FCUs, plumbing, electrical systems, and BMS, plus flexibility to travel to other ITV sites.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in mechanical, electrical, or general building maintenance.
• Experience with AHUs/FCUs, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience with PPM schedules and water hygiene testing (L8).
• Familiarity with Building Management Systems and handheld PDAs.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and RAMS compliance.
• Strong health and safety knowledge and customer service.
• Fully qualified in mechanical and/or electrical disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative, reactive, and condition-based maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and general building systems.
• Maintain and repair AHUs and FCUs, plumbing, and other systems.
• Conduct water hygiene tests and ensure compliance with L8 Legionella standards.
• Operate and interrogate Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Supervise specialist subcontractors and ensure RAMS documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and risk assessments.
• Use handheld PDAs for maintenance scheduling and reporting.
• Assist other engineers with tasks as needed.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders and deliver customer service.
• Work independently and be proactive in maintenance needs.
• Participate in out-of-hours and weekend work.
• Undertake other reasonable tasks to support business needs.
