Job summary

Rothamsted Research in North Wyke, Devon, is seeking a Building Services Engineer with a Mechanical/Plumbing bias to join the Estates and Facilities team. The role provides varied tasks across laboratories, offices, farm buildings and residential properties, including reactive repairs, fault finding and planned maintenance.

You will have proven experience maintaining heating and hot water systems, pumps and valves, work independently yet collaboratively, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experienced Mechanical and Plumbing Building Services Engineer.
• Experience maintaining heating and hot water systems, pumps and valves in commercial/industrial environments.
• Practical, self-motivated with ability to work independently within a small team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on plumbing, mechanical and building services systems.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks per schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose and repair faults on heating and hot water systems, pumps and valves.
