The Opportunity

We are seeking a senior BIM professional to develop and enhance our BIM capabilities in the West region team. The successful candidate will work within the West Property Science & Industry groups, based at the Cardiff or Bristol office, reporting to the team leaders, but connected to the wider network within West.

This role involves responding to and creating BIM documentation for internal and external use, managing resources, mentoring technicians and engineers, and providing feedback to develop their BIM skills.

Managing model environments is key; the role includes leading BIM activities, setting up project environments, onboarding team members, and liaising with the design team to ensure efficient information exchange.

The BIM professional will implement Arup standards across all activities, lead coordination sessions, utilize Revit for MEP building services modeling, and support project delivery. Effective communication and collaboration are essential.

The role also involves attending project meetings, liaising with engineers, and maintaining strong connections within the Arup BIM community.

Is this role right for you?

We seek candidates with:

• A degree in a design engineering-related discipline such as Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, or Environmental Engineering, or other relevant fields
• Proven experience leading BIM projects using Revit MEP, with strong technical skills and client engagement experience
• Knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 standards and practical experience in their application
• Extensive experience in federated BIM models and multidisciplinary design reviews
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong interest in client collaboration
