Job description

Join us to apply for the Building Service Engineer role at Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services.

This role is based at Heathrow Airport and involves managing the maintenance of plant rooms and HVAC systems in a prestigious corporate building.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage plant rooms and HVAC systems to high standards.
• Complete planned maintenance tasks on time and to a high standard.
• Identify and report defects, keeping the client informed.
• Troubleshoot building management systems (BMS), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), VRF, and VRV systems.
• Mechanical plumbing experience is a plus.
• Participate in on-call rota and attend to emergencies.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Full current driving license.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and Permits to Work.
• Ability to perform manual tasks including manual handling, working at heights, and in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate a mobile device.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and in a team.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• C&G Level 3 Heating & Ventilation
• Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
• FGAS certification.

Experience

• Experience in maintenance or facilities management preferred.
