We have an excellent opportunity for a Building Safety Levy Lead to join Wokingham Borough Council on a Part-time, 24 month Fixed-Term Contract. As Building Safety Levy Lead, you will take responsibility for the effective implementation, administration and collection of the Building Safety Levy. You will lead the development of appropriate processes, procedures and governance arrangements, ensuring the Council is prepared to meet its statutory responsibilities. Working collaboratively with colleagues, senior stakeholders, developers and external partners, you will provide specialist advice and guidance on the levy and ensure requirements are communicated clearly. You will oversee operational delivery, monitor performance and maintain accurate records, while identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies. You will also be responsible for the financial management of the levy collection process, establishing effective controls and reporting arrangements to support transparency, accountability and compliance. As the Council's lead officer for this area, you will keep abreast of relevant legislation and government guidance, translating these into practical local arrangements.
