Job summary

Berkeley Group is seeking a Building Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality assurance across projects in Taplow. You will support the Head of Quality Assurance, coordinate audits, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring documentation and compliance with quality standards.

You will work with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to manage quality plans, risk reviews and timely corrective actions, maintaining records and reporting status to management.

Qualifications

• Experience identifying inconsistencies, non-conformances, risks and gaps in documentation or process.
• Demonstrates autonomous work style with high standards.
• Experience preparing and coordinating internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

• Support Head of Quality Assurance to deliver key Group Compliance.
• Coordinate and manage audit preparation.
• Drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct Quality Risk Reviews.
• Review and manage Contractor Quality Plans, contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Manage non-conforming work, issue NCRs, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
• Work closely with Project Managers, internal teams and subcontractors to promote quality awareness and compliance.
• Ensure proper documentation and retention of quality records (inspection reports, test results, certifications).
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance on digital recording platform.
• Attendance at Pre-Start meetings with contractors.
• Participate in project meetings and provide quality status reports to management.

What you'll be doing

• Confident communicator able to work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, site teams, and senior management.
• Able to present quality findings and status updates clearly and concisely in meetings.
• Highly organised with an ability to prioritise multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines.
• Self-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Curious, improvement-minded, and always seeking ways to raise quality standards.

The standard default full-time working hours in the office are 8am-5pm with core working hours 9am-4pm.
