Temporary Building Manager – Residential Development

Circa GBP50k pro rata hourly rate

Are you an experienced and proactive property professional looking for a temporary role in a prime central London location? We are seeking a dedicated Temporary Building Manager to oversee the day–to–day operations of a prestigious 90–unit residential development in Pimlico.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth running of the building, providing a high level of service to residents, and maintaining a safe and well–kept environment. The ideal candidate will be a self–starter with a strong background in residential property management and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Building & Site Management: Conduct daily site inspections, manage maintenance schedules, and coordinate with contractors for repairs and services.
  • Oversee PPM contracts and on site property manager.
  • Resident & Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for all resident enquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including managing fire safety procedures and regular risk assessments.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records, manage access fobs, and oversee key management.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee and liaise with cleaning, security, and other service contractors to ensure high standards are met.
  • Staff Management of an established team of concierge and housekeeping staff.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Building Manager, Estate Manager, or in a similar residential property management role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A discreet and tactful personality.
  • Strong problem–solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to residential buildings.
  • Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working in high–end or luxury residential developments is a plus.
