Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our Estates team. You will carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and minor installations across the estate, supporting planned preventative maintenance to keep facilities safe and running smoothly.

This role requires practical skills in plumbing, electrics, joinery, and general repairs, with a steady, organised approach to unexpected issues.

Responsibilities

• Carries out day‑to‑day building maintenance, repairs, and minor installations across the estate.

• Ensures all equipment, systems, and spaces meet safety and compliance standards.
• Assists with upkeep of grounds, spa facilities, and accommodation areas as required.
• Maintains accurate records, completes checklists, and reports issues promptly.

We’re looking for a full-time Building Maintenance Technician who brings practical skill, calm focus, and a proactive, guest-centred approach to maintaining our stunning environment. You’ll take ownership of day-to-day maintenance tasks, support the wider Estates team, and help ensure every space across the hotel, spa, restaurants, and Lake House is safe, immaculate, and running smoothly.

Salary: £30,654 – £32,292 per year

We’re seeking a reliable, skilled, and solution‑focused Building Maintenance Technician to join the team. In this role, you’ll carry out general repairs, support planned preventative maintenance, respond to departmental requests, and uphold the safety, compliance, and presentation standards that define Gilpin. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem‑solving, and contributing to a supportive, high‑performing hospitality operation.
