Job summary

Facade Today is seeking an electrically biased trades person for site-based maintenance in a retail property setting. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of electrical building services, plus non-specialist fabric tasks.

You will update the CMMS, maintain plant reliability, and work within QA and safety procedures. The role requires City & Guilds 2391/2382 qualifications or equivalent, a time-serve apprenticeship, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must hold City & Guilds 2391 and 2382 qualifications.
• Time-serve apprenticeship or equivalent training is required.
• Demonstrable knowledge of building services engineering.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical building services equipment.
• Perform non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
• Update completed PPM tasks in the site CMMS.
• Maintain engineering standards for plant reliability.
• Follow QA, site procedures, health & safety, and document accordingly.
• Inspect services and address call-outs/repairs proactively.
• Attend site emergencies outside normal hours.
• Work in plant rooms at height with provided PPE.
• Keep tools safe and well-maintained.
• Support contract success with proactive, cooperative attitude.
• Comply with ABM HSE procedures.
• Assist with security tasks when required.

SHIFT PATTERN: Mon-Fri, 40 hours per week

Role Overview And Purpose

Electrically biased trades person based on site as a single operative undertaking planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment, and building fabric within a retail property environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Contract Manager, including fault finding, testing, repair and preventative maintenance of electrical building services equipment.
• Complete non-specialist building fabric maintenance tasks.
• Close and update completed PPM tasks in the site computerised maintenance system.
• Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise operational effectiveness and reliability of plant and associated systems.
• Adhere to company QA, site procedures, health & safety and maintain accurate site records/documentation.
• Inspect condition of services and proactively address call-outs/repairs as required.
• Attend site emergencies outside normal working hours.
• Execute tasks within typical plant room environments and at height from platforms and ladders; all access and PPE provided.
• Maintain company-issued tools in safe, serviceable condition.
• Work proactively towards continued success and support of the contract with a positive approach.
• Comply with ABM Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Assist with security related tasks such as searches of premises when requested.
