The Go-Between is recruiting a Class 2A Registered Building Inspector to oversee residential developments in Leicester. Qualifications

• Registered Building Inspector - Class 2A, B or D (or in registration)
• Site-based construction experience from foundation to completion
• Knowledge of building regulations and environmental concerns

Responsibilities

• Check plans for compliance with building regulations and warranty criteria
• Inspect works and produce detailed inspection records
• Issue notices and certificates throughout the process
• Ensure inspections have appropriate certification and defects are addressed
• Mentor trainee surveyors and act as technical liaison

Building Inspector

Responsibilities

• Check plans for compliance with building regulations, structural warranty criteria, and associated guidance
• Undertake inspection of works and produce detailed inspection records
• Issue initial notices, plan certificates, amendment notices and final certificates
• Ensure inspections have been conducted with appropriate certification submitted, and that defects/non-conformities have been addressed prior to issuing final certificate
• Operate in accordance with QMS procedures
• Provide mentoring and support for trainee surveyors
• Act as technical liaison internally and externally

Building Inspector

Requirements

• Registered Building Inspector - Class 2 A, B or D (or otherwise undergoing the registration process)
• Site-based experience of construction from foundation to completion
• Understanding of structural warranty standards- desirable
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, and related legislation, standards, and environmental concerns
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Problem-solving capability
• IT literate
