Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey, through its WorkSpace division, seeks a General Maintenance Technician focused on Building Fabric to join our Facilities Management team in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across multiple client sites, with a strong emphasis on compliance, timely reporting, and customer satisfaction.

We value multiskilled tradespeople with carpentry experience, a valid driving licence, and proficiency in office software.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Carpentry or equivalent.
• Full driving licence required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
• Multiskilled tradesperson with hands-on building fabric maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive maintenance across multiple client sites.
• Follow health and safety policies and report as required.
• Complete reports including arrival/departure and obtain customer signatures.
• Respond promptly to service calls and perform reactive repairs.
• Prioritise maintenance to meet response times and coordinate with manager if delays.
• Order and maintain materials, tools and equipment.
• Coordinate 3rd party contractors for quotations or specialist repairs.
• Assist with surveys and reports.
• Maintain asset registers with tagging.
• Represent the company professionally with helpdesk and client teams.
• Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance per contract scope.
