Job summary

Mitie is seeking a Building Fabric Supervisor to lead maintenance across commercial and industrial environments. The role includes overseeing fabric maintenance activities, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating labour for planned and reactive services.

You will perform audits, manage staff performance, and contribute to continual service improvements within a trusted UK-wide facilities management team.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities or mobile maintenance in construction or similar environments.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• HND/NVQ or equivalent qualification with strong communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities relating to building fabric maintenance.
• Ensure team adheres to health and safety and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate labour (direct and subcontract) to deliver Planned and Reactive Maintenance, managing resources during sickness/holidays.
• Undertake routine and ad-hoc audits of planned and reactive works for compliance and quality.
• Manage employees within a service environment, including appraisals, performance reviews, training and development planning, supporting continual improvement of service delivery.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee all activities relating to building fabric maintenance.
• Ensure your team are working to high levels of health and safety and statutory requirements.
• Co-ordinate labour (direct and subcontract) to ensure delivery of Planned and Reactive Maintenance services, including managing resources during periods of sickness and holiday.
• Undertake routine and ad-hoc audits of both planned and reactive works to ensure high standards of compliance and quality.
• Manage employees within a service environment, including appraisals, performance reviews, training and development planning, whilst supporting continual improvement of service delivery.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Background in facilities or mobile maintenance within a construction or similar environment.
• Qualified to Level 2 or Level 3 City & Guilds.
• NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
• HND, NVQ or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject, with previous experience in a similar role and strong communication and IT skills.
