Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an experienced Building Fabric Engineer to work on site, delivering building fabric services and related maintenance. The role emphasizes practical plumbing, carpentry, lighting testing, and coordination with the management team to ensure clear resource planning.

The ideal candidate will have a Building Services qualification and hands-on plumbing experience, with a focus on delivering excellent client service and supervising junior staff as required.

• Plumbing experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver basic plumbing, ceiling repairs, carpentry, door closers, roof/gutter cleaning, emergency light testing, painting and basic carpentry skills.
• Customer care/relationship building with internal and external clients.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• Supervise trainees and technicians and coordinate with management for resource planning.

We are looking for an experienced Building Fabric Engineer to work closely with the Management team onsite who will be delivering the building fabric services.

Role Responsibilities:

• Delivering basic plumbing, ceiling repairs, carpet fitting, fitting door closers, roof and gutter cleaning, emergency light testing, painting and basic carpentry skills.
• Customer care/relationship building skills are essential in order to communicate with both internal and external clients.
• Carry out minor mechanical/electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPMs).
• You will be required to supervise trainees and technicians where advised and will be communicating with departmental management to ensure resource requirements are clearly understood.

Experience in facilities management or building services.

• The ideal candidate should be qualified in a Building Services discipline.
