Job summary

Equans is seeking a Building Fabric Engineer / Handyperson for a temporary 2 months contract in North London (EN5). The role covers hands-on building fabric maintenance, repairs and upkeep across the site, including painting, decorating and ironmongery tasks.

Responsibilities include inspecting defects, carrying out repairs, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring safety and presentation of the building fabric in line with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building repairs and maintenance.
• Ability to carry out a range of general maintenance tasks.
• Experience in painting/decorating and ironmongery.
• Good practical knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance.
• DBS check is standard for roles in healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general building fabric repairs and maintenance.
• Undertake painting and decorating works as required.
• Carry out ironmongery repairs and replacements, including doors, locks, hinges and handles.
• Complete general handyman and maintenance tasks across the site.
• Identify defects and carry out appropriate repairs.
• Assist with maintaining the building fabric in a safe and presentable condition.
• Respond to maintenance requests and complete works within agreed timescales.
• Work safely and in accordance with site procedures and health & safety requirements.
