Job Opportunity: Building Fabric Engineer

MJ Quinn, a contractor providing Mechanical, Electrical, and Telecommunications services, is seeking a Building Fabric Engineer for a permanent role within our Mechanical, Electrical & Building Maintenance Division. The position is based in North-West England, primarily in the Merseyside area.

The Role

The Building Fabrication Engineer will handle planned and reactive maintenance across multiple public sector buildings, ensuring high standards of building upkeep.

Responsibilities

1. This is a mobile role requiring travel around Merseyside and surrounding areas.
2. Perform reactive maintenance on commercial buildings.
3. Maintain Health and Safety procedures on all contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
4. Report to Contract Administrator, Supervisor, Helpdesk, and Contract Manager.
5. Carry out repairs on doors, ceilings, windows, floors, and walls.
6. Prepare quotations for defects or client requests.
7. Execute building fabric installation works.
8. Handle lock repairs and replacements.
9. Conduct planned maintenance on building fabric.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in facilities management is preferred.
• Essential maintenance experience.
• Previous role in a similar position.
