Job summary

Charnwood Borough Council in Leicestershire is seeking a Building Control Technician (P322) to support a team of Building Control Surveyors, with responsibilities including plan measurement and document checks to assist inspections and related street naming and numbering duties.

The successful candidate will have a background in Building Studies and be working towards, or hold, a relevant qualification, with a strong commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have or be working towards a BTEC ONC in Building Studies.
• Experience working in a building control environment is desirable.
• Ability to learn quickly and contribute to customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Building Control service.
• Measure plans and documents accurately to support inspections.
• Assist with Street Naming and Numbering and Building Safety Levy administration.
• Liaise with stakeholders to support sustainable growth in the borough.
