Job summary

Wirral Council is seeking a Building Control Surveyor to support the delivery of a regulated Building Control service under Building Safety Act 2022 and related legislation. You will undertake plan assessments, site inspections, and enforcement duties while contributing to a fast-paced, customer-focused team.

The role requires RBI registration, CABE/CABE equivalent membership, and a National Level 6 award, with hybrid working and ongoing professional development supported by the council.

Qualifications

• National Level 6 award in construction related subject
• CABE/CMAB membership or Fellow Chartered Member
• BiCOF Building Inspector registration and driving licence
• Full UK driving licence with ability to travel to locations as required

Responsibilities

• Assist in plan assessment and site inspections under Building Regulations and related legislation.
• Undertake enforcement actions when required and participate in out-of-hours emergency duties.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a high-quality Building Control service.
