Job summary

Blue Recruitment Personnel is seeking experienced Building Inspectors / Building Control Surveyors to join a growing team in Birmingham and the West Midlands. The role covers residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, with opportunities to advance in a supportive, professional environment.

You will carry out inspections, review plans for Building Regulations compliance, and provide clear technical advice.

Qualifications

• Must hold Registration as Building Inspector (Class 2D–2F+).
• Council or 2+ years of field experience is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Building Control inspections across a range of projects.
• Review plans and specifications to ensure compliance with Building Regulations.
• Provide clear technical advice to clients, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain detailed records.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to support compliance and delivery standards.
• Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service.
