Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to cover Swindon and surrounding areas for a temporary 16-week contract, with a permanent opportunity thereafter. You will carry out reactive repairs and external maintenance in social housing properties.

The role offers £23 per hour during the temporary period and a potential £38,000 annual salary when permanent, plus a company van and a fuel card. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with an immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in multi-trade repairs or property maintenance.
• Experience with brickwork, blockwork and external repairs.
• Additional skills in plastering, carpentry or plumbing.
• Previous experience working within social housing.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and provide a professional service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out reactive repairs across social housing properties.
• Completing fencing repairs and installations.
• Undertaking patio repairs and general external maintenance.
• Carrying out brickwork and blockwork.
• Turning your hand to additional trades, such as basic plastering, carpentry or plumbing.
• Working professionally in residents' homes and completing repairs to a good standard.

Join a well-established contractor working within social housing as a Multi-Trade Operative, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This role is initially temporary for 16 weeks, with the opportunity to go permanent.
